Simbaress Fashions and Ella Designs at the Nairobi Fashion Market, October 2012

As an upcoming fashion designer I must say that participating in the Nairobi Fashion Market was one of the best things I ever did! I got the chance to meet up with my 2 fashion icons; Mustaffa Hassan Ali and John Kaveke, and even got a few useful insights on their views. Kaveke did not have to say a word! He just worked it... As for Mustaffa, I will be showcasing at the Swahili Fashion Week 2013. His words to me were priceless. Thank you.

The other best bit I loved about it was that my very good friend Fiona invited me to share a stall with her! It was awesome! She is just the sweetest thing! Fiona has her own casual wear fashion line known as Ella Designs. We are all local designers who make everything in Kenya. It is so nice to work with a fellow young designer and watch each other grow and make good contacts and also have a mutual desire to grow. Love her!
