MIKES CAMP KIWAYU

I had the pleasure of traveling to Kiwayu Island with my boo and I recently found this photos on his computer and thought I should add it to my online open journal. We had a lovely time at Mike's Camp. Mikes Camp is a well known fishing destination with all big game fish being found only a kilometer offshore. The camp is fully equipped for fishing excursions with knowledgeable Skippers and two sea worthy boats. Well, this was not our interest but boy oh boy doesn't this camp have magnificent views or what? I mean, Even the toilet near the reception area had an amazing view! Ha ha

As usual, I am stunned and amazed by natures beauty and I feel obliged to appreciate mother nature at her best.

The camp is a small unique seven banda camp. The rooms are spacious and set with 360 views of the open ocean - the creek. Bucket showers are loaded with sun heated water for the evening and the sunset bar is well stocked.

Because I was coming from Lamu and we had set out for Kiwayu late, we spent one night on the beach and only spent one night in Kiwayu. So we literally left the next day. It is worth going back to!
