THROWBACK
Hey readers, I am setting out to find out what women in their mid years wish they would tell
to their 20-something year old selves. This is because I don’t want to get
there and say, “I wish I knew” I want to know now… From what I have seen, life
can be quite fulfilling, as it can be disappointing. It seems to be a gamble.
You can never tell.
And how do you define fulfilment? This is definitely
immeasurable; an unquantifiable quality of life. One may have fulfilment by
having a good marriage to a man or a woman as their perfect soul mate with or
without children. Another finds fulfilment in having children. Another may find
fulfilment by being the first wife while another finds it in being the last,
most beloved albeit young wife. Others find it in their soaring careers and
others in their successful business and luxurious vacations and shopping
sprees. The list is endless yet I have no clue where my fulfilment will come
from. Shame, isn’t it?
Should I put my wishes, the ever-so-changing wishes, which
are not needs first? I have dealt well with my issues of prioritization and it
has paid off. What should I do when I get to a crossroads? I want to know what
the 50 years old me would tell me right now. Is life ever that serious?
So this is just a post about my plan to get to know what
women wish they would tell themselves in their young adulthood years. Do you
know anything? Please leave your comment below and let’s chat.
Sincerely,
Nekoye
