MY DRESS MY CHOICE
Hello readers, the cosmic positive flowing energy has been destabilized.
It saddens me to see grown men and women either part-take or
stand by and watch as others strip a woman naked because of her personal choice
of dressing. As usual, I like to make a comment after the dust has somewhat
settled and everyone has come to his or her senses – or so I hope! What gets me
most in these horrific ordeals going on in Kenya is that days after the public
outcry of the humanitarian activists, women are still being stripped publicly
and often sexually harassed. The damage caused to these women go far beyond the
physical abuse and mental damage all because of a choice of outfit they made
that morning!
Men, grow up! What does the length of my skirt do to you -
you disgusting perverts! If my choice of dress is indecent to you then by all
means look the other way. Who made you judge and jury of all living beings? You
who dare to strip a woman naked in the street with such violence and vigor and
yet want to go home and kiss your wives and daughters good night?! How does
stripping a woman naked add value to your life? All those silly immature men
who stripped the women naked have cursed themselves. I would much rather speak
blessings and spread goodness to the world but the inhumane nature of this
gross public violence against defenseless women have got me cursing my breath
out. You Pharisees casting the first stone because you are without err or sin. And
who says to dress in a short outfit put you on the wrong side. I mean how dare
you! Disgusting beings.
I pray for the women who were tortured in these ordeals. I
pray that Mother Mary will bring console to your spirits and that God will
grant you such great peace that you will not remember the horrors you faced in
the hands of idle men whose minds were corrupted by impure thoughts.
What happens next? What is Kenya going to do to stop these
unruly behaviors in her society? We watched with disbelief, cursed and cried
while others applauded and rejoiced in these inhumane actions against
defenseless poor women. We kid ourselves and make a mockery out of our culture.
Which African culture had their women covered up for centuries? How civilized
do you suppose you are that you wish to teach us to cover up in the name of
respect? Show me a respectful member of your family who would commit such
heinous actions against a woman. If she were mad, would you not cover her up
and not engage her in conversation. Would you rape a woman because she refused
to listen to your advances? Pathetic imbeciles. I am not done with uncultured
men who have no respect for women!
Disappointed!
Nekoye
The actions the men took was quite disturbing. Am not against a woman having to pick an outfit that she is comfortable in, however they should consider the kind of society that still exist in kenya.
