REFLECTIONS
Hello readers, it must have rained in March. Something in today’s rain takes me
back to a time I was truly myself back in March. At the time I had clarity of
certain matters. I knew I wasn’t happy, I knew I didn’t find my job fulfilling
as I had before (#MyJobIsTooCool) but in that rainy moment I must have shelved
it away and tried to dwell within reality of the moment.
Today’s rainfall is a reminder that when we are still, we have
clarity of mind and situations. When we are calm, we can know that we have
diverted from the path which we are meant to be on. I was clear that the year
did not have end with the same misery of yesteryear, the same unsatisfactory remarks but all the same I would still have acknowledged the invaluable
experiences along the path.
Then came along a game changing plan, with it the usual fact that ‘You cannot change the circumstances, the
seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself…’ That is something I have
charge of. Signing up for a graduate
course was just but step no. 1, the real game changer would be to remove myself
from an unfulfilled vocation to possibly move to a more fulfilling one. That
too was not an easy thing to do. So I took a leap in to the unknown, and I cut
the cords that made me believe that without them I wouldn’t be me. And I felt
FREE. As I do now. And the tales will continue. For now, let’s sip the tea and
prepare for the end of semester examinations.
Quotes:
Your problem is how you are going to spend this one odd and precious life you have been issued. Whether you're going to spend it trying to look good and creating the illusion that you have power over people and circumstances, or whether you are going to taste it, enjoy it and find out the truth about who you are.– Anne Lamott
We are a party of innovation. We do not reject our traditions, but we are willing to adapt to changing circumstances, when change we must. We are willing to suffer the discomfort of change in order to achieve a better future. -Barbara Jordan
Feeling much calmer.
