LUNCH WITH FRIENDS

Greek Salad in Nairobi

Hey readers, it’s so refreshing to have friends from different cultures. You get to learn a lot. The only Greek friend I have is Alexandros or Alex as we like to call him. Alex is engaged to Lizz Njagah, my very good friend and soon to be the face of my fashion line. Not only is she talented and well travelled, but also warm and kind-hearted. Lucky guy - Alex!

So Lizz just flew back to Lagos for work, and Alex will be off to Greece on Wednesday morning. They’ll be getting married in Thesaloniki on the 10th of June this year. Too Much Information? Right? No!!! It’s never that serious…

Alex and Lizz shot a movie in Greece called the Return of Lazurus. Amazing actors, amazing photography, amazing direction and amazing editing!!! All just amazing... I had  watched the preview of it, but wanted to watch the whole movie with some company. So Alex and I set off to go to his friend Andriana.

Andriana made us a nice Greek lunch and I got to learn how to prepare terere as a salad. I ate very good cheese (can’t remember where it was from) and of course nice olives… Burp!!! Too bad I couldn’t eat fish because of the freaking allergies. It was a well spent afternoon and I felt so nice to have such good friends. I should invite Andriana over and prepare her a Ugandan lunch Kitobero.

Cheers,

Nekoye
