GENTLEMAN OR PLAYER?
Gentleman or Player?
So I was meeting my sister for lunch today and was rushing to beat a couple of deadlines- getting budgets approved for my shoot tomorrow in Kampala and the one next week for CNN Heroes in Uganda. Anyway, so I rush to town and had a somewhat lovely lunch, the food was amazing.
Rushing back to the office, I gave the street kid the remaining lunch I had carried and rushed along because I was meeting Celia at my office. I must have switched off because the next thing a recall is a huge bump at the corner from a man who walked straight into me. He must have been lost in his thoughts too. What makes this moment memorable is how he reacted. I was in a mini-second shock and he quickly said, "Sorry Darling, did I hurt you? Are you OK?" Ha ha ha ha ha, I know!!! Who does that?

Damn, I have to say either this was too good a gentleman or a player always on top of his game! I said I was OK and that I was sorry too then I moved along to go to the office but boy did he succeed in putting a smile on my face this afternoon or what! I had to note this. He could have said, like most people who bump into a lady in town, "Look where you are going..." Or passed on the blame or something. Have your verdict, gentleman or player? I think he was a gentleman because a player would have gone right ahead to flash his card but he just apologized in a very fancy way. So, this was a gentleman.
Dilemma,
